Vitamin E
Vitamin E is a natural component of healthy skin. It’s often overshadowed by trendy newcomer ingredients, however, it is a powerful (yet gentle!) antioxidant that defends skin by neutralizing free radicals from pollution and other environmental stressors that weaken skin over time. Vitamin E also helps tighten, firm, and moisturize the skin.
Jojoba
Jojoba plant is a hearty perennial plant that grows in North America. It thrives through the tough desert climates while producing a nut oil with endless healing properties. Jojoba is known to be antibacterial, moisturizing, and contains natural forms of vitamin E while being hypoallergenic.
Shea Butter
Going beyond being moisturizing, Shea Butter does not contain any chemicals that cause irritation known for drying out skin or clogging pores. There is no oily after feeling when applied to the skin and triggers cytokines that are known to minimize skin inflammation. As a plus, Shea Butter can even out skin tone and reverse stretch marks.
Calendula Flower
While being packed with antioxidants, Calendula Flower extract enhances skin hydration and stimulates skin elasticity. These effects are a direct result of its antioxidant content which can relieve sore nipples during nursing. Calendula is also well known to help soothe eczema.
Sesame
Sesame oil is the perfect oil for baby care. It works in so many ways as an essential base oil which is why you can find it in many of our products. Not only does it reduce water loss locking in moisture, it is also anti-inflammatory and can reduce irritation and swelling. Last but not least, Sesame is naturally antimicrobial. This means it can kill harmful microorganisms or stop their growth.
Aloe Vera
Derived from the aloe vera plant, it produces a gel-like substance that can be used as a topical gel. Aloe Vera protects the skin from dryness, tenderness, redness and abrasions. The moisturizing effects of aloe can alleviate itchy skin associated with eczema which can be common with newborns. It’s the safest way we can protect and heal the skin.
Coconut Oil
Our skin is gentle and can get scuffed up easily, luckily coconut oil is a natural skin protectant. Coconut Oil is linked to skin benefits, including reducing inflammation, keeping skin hydrated, protects the skin from harmful bacteria and speeds the healing of wounds.
Apple
An apple a day not only keeps the doctor away, but it’s packed with antioxidants that help protect against ultraviolet radiation. Apple extract is rich in vitamin C, which promotes healthy, soft skin. Apple also prevents bacteria and other irritants that can cause germs to penetrate the skin.
